Create your own musical moments at the piano with pieces you love

Your musical journey starts here

Music is an integral part of our lives. It accompanies our moments of joy and sadness, speaks to our core, and allows us to express ourselves beyond the limits of words. It can be enjoyed both as a personal and introspective experience and as a social and collaborative one. It is a form of communication, release, and art. Learning to play an instrument provides many people with a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment while fostering creativity, passion and discipline.

Musical Moments Education is a private piano school where you/your children will learn to create your own musical moments at the piano in a fun and friendly environment where it's all about enjoying the musical experience! You'll learn to play your favourite songs, because that's why you came, right?

Lessons are held in a home studio located in Drouin Victoria.

About Lessons

Lessons are personalised and friendly. In lessons, students can expect to learn about:

Technique at the piano.

Interpreting and expressing music artistically.

How to play, read and write music.

Music theory and musicianship.

Students are encouraged to take pride in striving towards a high level of accomplishment, and are always invited to engage in extracurricular music they know and love in lessons. These may include themes from their favourite movies, TV shows or games, pop songs, songs from musicals, hymns from church or carols at Christmas time.

You’ll need:

A piano or keyboard at home and to purchase the method books required.

Short fingernails, or you won’t be able to play with good technique.

To invest in your music lessons with regular practise as well as money.

Performance opportunities

Students are strongly encouraged (but not required) to take the opportunity to perform in local eisteddfods.

Students may also like to take the opportunity to sit an exam with the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Exams provide students the opportunity to practise performing, get some feedback, and to receive a certificate recognising their achievement!
